Walking

The simplest form of travel is often overlooked and undervalued – walking is free, good for your health, good for the environment and a great way to enjoy the outdoors.

Could you get walking more? Perhaps you could walk to work, add walking to a longer commute, go for a lunchtime stroll, walk to meetings or even have a walking meeting?

Walking routes

  • Journey planning: There’s often a faster, more pleasant walking route that the usual transport option. Try using walk it or Google Maps to plan your journey.
  • Main to north campus: It is approximately one mile between campuses which works out around a 20 minute stroll.
  • History and heritage tours: Find out more about our history through walking tours of the campus.
