Sustainability at The University of Manchester

Why Cycle?

Bike

We all know the benefits of cycling; it's cheap, great for the environment and really is good for you.

The University of Manchester has a large (and growing) group of staff who regularly cycle to work. There are some good facilities available to cyclists at the University as well as some great saving schemes, so why not give cycling a go? The University offers plenty of help to those interested in cycling to work for the first time (read on for more details) and we’re continually looking to improve on the cycling facilities we currently have.

If you already cycle to work that’s great! You can rest assured you are doing yourself and the world a favour.

To keep up with relevant news and events, subscribe to the University Cyclists' mail List by sending an email to <university-cyclists-request@listserv.manchester.ac.uk> with the word ’subscribe’ as the subject, and nothing in the body (ie turn off any signatures).
